We Received the Snail of Approval award from Slow Food Greater Olympia!

In February 2024, we were awarded the Snail of Approval award from Slow Food of Greater Olympia, the local chapter of Slow Food USA and Slow Food International.

Getting the Slow Food Greater Olympia Snail of Approval award means so much more to us than “just” being certified organic (and becoming organically certified isn’t easy!). Being organic is just one small part of the slow food movement that is at the heart of what we do. It’s also about paying our workers equally and ensuring they’re treated ethically and fairly. It’s how we source our seeds, what we’re putting into our soil and the impact our farm has on the environment. But it’s the cultural connection and community impact that aligns so much with our values here at Dancing Goats and Singing Chickens that we’re incredibly proud of.
